To the ACDT Team,
Before we came to the classes, Max was a six month old yellow lab doing
what he wanted to. Listening when he felt like it. Would not heel and chewed
everything in sight.
Then ACDT came into our lives. Max and I were very new to the whole
concept of this program. I was not sure how he would react to this type of
training. After 5 minutes with Terri at our bring-collar session, we were on
board and ready to work.
At our first lesson at the farm, we meet two very special trainers. Tracie
and her daughter Alicia. Max turned on his little puppy charm when we
arrived and he has been doing it ever since. These two trainers believe in
working with the owner as well as the dog. They treat you as a team. With
this approach and their willingness to be patient, Max learned at leaps and
bounds.
After week one he was able to sit, down, come and be able to stay as I
would walk away. Week two he could heel and work off his lead. Week three
he was being trained totally off leash and able to do most commands. He just
passed his graduation test after only three weeks!
Max and I are very grateful to the ACDT team and look forward to learning
more each and every class we attend.
