TESTIMONIALS
Dear Perry & all the trainers at ACDT:

You should definitely have a disclaimer on your training contracts letting dog
owners know how ADDICTIVE this can be! After training my first mini-
Daschund, Daisy, I'm now super excited to get started with my new mini-
Doxie (just 3 months old), Buster!

We just completed our course in Puppy classes and it was a GREAT
experience. I used to think I knew a lot about dogs and such, but even so I
found that I learned quite a lot of IMPORTANT info in Puppy class. Not to
mention the opportunity for Buster to socialize with other puppies and other
people so that he's accustomed to being introduced to others in the future.
The Puppy class covered a lot of basic puppy info, but you also touched on
topics that aren't generally discussed.  I liked that you shared information on
a whole spectrum of things, like puppy-proofing your home, how to control
things like nipping, aggression, or barking, tips for crate training, and what I
would consider pretty detailed First Aid techniques.

The First Aid portion of the Puppy class was probably my favorite, because I
learned how to perform CPR on a dog and other important facts that could
help save my dogs someday! In fact, I even encountered a situation recently
where a neighbor's dog collapsed. I ran to help, fearing the worst, but SO
grateful that I had learned the CPR technique in class. Turns out, the dog
didn't need CPR, but my neighbor was thankful I was there to help!

Another situation arose where a friend was checking on some potatoes on my
stove, dropped a piece of one on the floor, and Buster rushed in & grabbed it
before we could stop him! The piece of potato was steaming hot & he tried to
swallow it quickly, but it got stuck in his throat. I immediately grabbed him up,
turned him upside down over the trash & prepared to do the "puppy Heimlich"
technique we learned in class. He got the potato out, & again I was grateful to
have had the knowledge of what to do! It’s amazing when you realize how
easily your puppies & dogs can get into trouble, and even more amazing when
you know how to save them from harm!

I can't thank you all enough, especially Terri & Alicia, who taught the class! I'd
recommend Puppy classes to anyone who cares about their pups and wants to
be the best owner/master they can be!
