How We Train
ACDT believes that a dog will learn better and more quickly if he is
having fun. And since the dogs shouldn't have ALL the fun, we found
a way to incorporate something that EVERYONE seems to enjoy --
agility training. We incorporate agility equipment into each of our
training sessions -- not only for the fun, but also to build confidence
in the dogs. Many clients are amazed at what their dogs can do!

ACDT believes that training should be MORE than basic obedience.
We continually add new commands in our training classes. We also
offer fun facts, quick health tips, and interesting "did you know"
items about your best friend -- your dog!

Here at ACDT, we work hard to maintain a family atmosphere. We are
one of the few schools to offer your children the opportunity to train
with your dog as well, in our Junior Handler Class. This class is
designed specifically for children ages 8 and above. Younger children
may be admitted with special permission from the class instructor and
parental supervision. Parents are asked to remain during class and
supervise their children.

More than just basic training, ACDT will also assist with resolving
behavior problems that you may be having with your dog. Our
staff members are at your disposal to answer questions and offer
advice in order to help you. If you are having a specific problem
at home with your dog, a trainer will come to your home to help you
work on resolving the problem.
