Terri O'Brien
Terri and Eli
Terri is ACDT's Puppy School
instructor, and has been working with
professional dog training companies for
the past three years. She has a deep
love of all animals, and cannot
remember a time when she did not have
an animal in her life.
She especially enjoys the challenge of
training Belgian Malinois, and recently
earned second place with Eli in a
"Hardest-Hitting Dog" competition.
Terri has been involved in various police
canine seminars, and has attended a
number of Robin MacFarland's remote
collar seminars, as well as a Sue
Barnes' agility seminar.
She received her certification as a dog
trainer from ACDT in early 2006.
Terri thoroughly enjoys running
ACDT's Puppy School classes, where
the Cute Index is ALWAYS off the
charts!
When Terri is not training dogs, she is kept busy by a 16-year career
as a registered nurse in the fields of Oncology and Emergency Room
nursing. She is certified in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
Terri demonstrates in puppy class how to
locate a dog's heart, in preparation for
giving CPR compressions in an emergency.
