Nicole Yuritch
Nicole and Nala
Nicole's life has always included pets, so it's no surprise that her household currently includes
three -- cats Milo and Finny, and Nala, a German Shepherd. Nala became part of Nicole's family
as a 7 week old puppy, and her arrival started Nicole on a journey of learning about the breed.
She read dozens of books and articles about best practices for raising a happy, healthy German
Shepherd that was sound in both mind and body. One common thread in all that reading was the
recommendation to train -- these large, intelligent dogs need to have something to do. Not
wanting to raise a "wild child," Nicole enrolled Nala in group classes at ACDT.
About a year later, Nicole's success with Nala earned her an invitation to become a trainer on
the ACDT staff, which Nicole eagerly accepted! She completed her certification in January, and
now teaches group classes several times a week. In spite of a successful career as an account
executive, Nicole says her first passion is training with the clients and dogs in her classes.
