Lou Trefz
Lou and Elmo
Lou is a professional photographer by trade. His owns and operates his
own studio, The Camera Works which is located in Lumberton, NJ.
Lou enjoyed training his dogs (Elmo and Lacey) with Perry and the staff
at ACDT so much that he decided to take training to the next level -- he
asked to be considered for a position as a trainer.
Lou received his trainer’s certification in January. Now in addition to his
photography business, Lou enjoys helping other people achieve the same
kind of fantastic relationship with their own dogs that he has achieved
with his.
He is passionate about treating dogs well, and about training them to be
well-behaved companions that can go just about anywhere, any time.
Lou's Bernese Mountain Dogs are both rescues -- if you want to see how
well-behaved (and happy!) your dog can be, come on out to a morning
class, and meet Lou!
