Lisa Mattson
Lisa and Jack
Lisa had been a stay-at-home mother
for 12+ years, taking care of her
husband and three girls. Before she
had children, she worked as a legal
secretary and a receptionist for a
group of psychologists. When she
was young, her family had an outside
dog, with whom Lisa would spend
hours, and she was even known to
bring the dog the leftover roast beef
from Sunday dinner (much to her
mother's dismay)!! Lisa and her
husband have always had dogs, all of
which have been rescued from
shelters.
Lisa became aware of ACDT when her
neighbor asked her to help train her dog,
Snapple. Lisa began bringing Snapple to
lessons in September 2006, and became
addicted!! She also began narcotics
training with Snapple in January 2007. It
was around this time that Perry asked her
to consider becoming a trainer. She began
training in March, and received her Dog
Training Certification from ACDT in May.
She currently runs most of the weekday
morning classes, and helps out when
needed on Saturdays. "Jack" is by her
side each and every day!
Lisa and her family also have a nine year old yellow lab named Cassidy,
whom they consider to be the smartest dog in the world!!
